Week 3 of Training

Logged 8 miles today. This week I logged 27.5 miles. Pace of just under 9 minutes per mile. I don't think that will be my pace for the marathon but it is a good training pace.

Dear Friends, Family, and Acquaintances,

For the second time, I will be running the Boston Marathon as
part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Team (DFMC).

By running for the Dana-Farber Marathon Team, I will be
raising money for the Claudia Adams Barr Program where researchers conduct important studies that hold the promise of achieving breakthroughs in understanding, overcoming, and eventually eliminating cancer.

I joined the DFMC Team following my wife Karen’s diagnosis and ongoing battle with breast cancer. Thanks to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and programs like the DFMC she is living proof that this program works and is moving toward eliminating cancer.

Each and every one of us has had family members, friends, or acquaintances that have been diagnosed with cancer. Many of them have lost the battle and have been taken from us in the prime of their lives. This is your chance to help out and be part of the cure.

No gift to the DFMC is too large or too small. 100% of your donation goes directly to cancer research at the DFCI. Your contribution will allow researchers to find a cure for cancer.

There are Two ways to send in contributions to DFCI.

You can submit a donation using either a debit or credit card.

If you don’t feel comfortable donating over the internet, you can mail me a check made out to:
Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge.
I’ll submit the check directly to the DFMC.
